Trade Shows/Promotions

CREATIVE CONNECTIONS has been contracted to attend trade shows, culinary events, etc to both demonstrate and promote various products & services. For example the Canadian Atlantic Lobster Promotion Association, Inc. Julie V. Watson worked alone, with other representatives, or as an on-site representative/assistant at events such as:

Canada Expo - Mexico City (worked with a translator)

International Association of Culinary Professionals Conference - New Orleans, U.S.A.

Northern Bounty Canadian Culinary Conference - Stratford, Ontario

Canadian Seafood Exposition - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, U.S.A.

Homard Nouveau campaign launch - Paris, France

Many other promotions have been conducted in Chicago, Vancouver, Toronto, etc. As well, cooking demos, talks to small groups and author signings as part of book promotional tours are frequently done.

CREATIVE CONNECTIONS has organized numerous events in both professional and volunteer capacities:


P.E.I. Shellfish Festival an annual celebration of the oyster and mussel harvest for the Aquaculture Alliance of P.E.I. and the P.E.I. Shellfish Association

Women In Business Conference (3 annual) also a series of luncheons for Business Women for Greater Charlottetown & Area Chamber of Commerce.

P.E.I Oyster Festival for P.E.I. Shellfish Association

Homepreneurs/Micro Business Conference for the Association of Atlantic Women Business Owners, Charlottetown Chapter

Write Into Summer: Conferences for the Periodical Writers Association of Canada, Writers Workshops, several annual events organized for Holland College Conference Bureau & Island Writers, and the Island Writers Association of P.E.I., etc.

Lobster Conference several events held over two years which aimed to bring together industry members to establish co-operative partnerships to increase the economic value of the lobster industry to the region, as well as protect and manage the resource.

Julie Watson was an integral part of the organizing committee of CALPA (The Canadian Atlantic Lobster Promotion Association) for the four years of its operation.
